Billingham Bombers off to dream start with double
BILLINGHAM Bombers got their 2007/08 campaign off to a flying start, bagging four points from two games.

The Teessiders followed a 3–1 win at Coventry with a 6-1 turnover of Newcastle Vipers to give themselves an early season boost.

Bombers looking for back-to-back wins
BILLINGHAM Bombers open their 2008/09 campaign this weekend with back-to-back English National League North Division fixtures.
The first takes place tonight at the home of league newcomers Coventry Blaze ENL followed by a derby clash with local rivals Newcastle Vipers at the Forum Ice Arena tonight (6.30pm face off).

Bombers claim third spot in memorial trophy

BILLINGHAM Bombers grabbed third place in the first Tom Smith Memorial Trophy at Whitley Bay.
The competition format saw the normal three 20 minute period game, replaced by two 15 minute periods.
The Bombers got the competition under way against hosts and current English National League champions the Whitley Warriors.

Trophy to ease Bombers into new season

BILLINGHAM Bombers get their new season under way tonight as they take part in the inaugural Tom Smith Memorial Trophy at Whitley Bay.
Host side Whitley Warriors have invited the Bombers along with regional rivals Newcastle Vipers and Scottish side Solway Sharks for the curtain-raising competition.
The event will be a round robin format with the winners in the final tomorrow night.

Billingham Bombers concerned about Forum closure

ICE hockey coaches are to meet leisure chiefs to discuss the impact of the 18-month closure of Billingham Forum.
Billingham Ice Hockey club, which has 125 players aged five to 35, has welcomed “the commitment” of Stockton Council and Tees Active to transform the dilapidated complex.
The £15m refurbishment will see an upgraded ice rink to transform the Forum Ice Arena. But the club is concerned that the planned 18-month closure, from July next year, equates to two seasons for its competitive teams, including the well-supported Billingham Bombers.

Bombers starlets’ success abroad

A TRIO of Billingham Bombers’ brightest young talents are back on home soil after winning bronze medals in an international tournament in the Czech Republic.
Toby Jackson, Ben Davison and Jonathon Galloway were all selected to take part in the Spring Challenge Cup in Prague.
The trio represented the Northern Conference Under-18 side against teams from the US, Sweden, Slovakia and two Czech Republic sides.
